HELP STOP
DEATHS FROM
CANCER

“Everyone knows someone who has been through breast cancer. I’ve had stories sent to me from around the world, with people sharing their own experiences. So many people feel so connected to it”

Give Now

FlyPink is an initiative that was founded in 2015 by QantasLink pilots to raise awareness and vital funds for breast cancer.

This year, FlyPink will support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF)Australia’s largest not-for-profit funder of breast cancer research and local breast cancer charities around the world.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian women. Currently, it is predicted that over 20,000 Australians including around 200 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and over 3,200 Australians including 30-40 men will die from breast cancer every year.

Funds raised from employees from the general aviation industry, including Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar and REX together with service personnel, shows their support for NBCF by wearing custom-made, limited-edition epaulettes, wings and pins.

This year NBCF is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Since 1994, NBCF has invested over $200 million in over 600 projects. In this time, the death rate from breast cancer has reduced by over 40%.

This is progress to be proud of, but the job is not done. NBCF’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer is as important as ever. NBCF’s Pink Horizon Research Strategy which will see an investment of up to $125 million over the next five years is intended to bring NBCF closer to achieving its vision.

We can’t wait to see you on flight paths around the world. In the meantime, help us support NBCF. Give generously today.
